Snapdeal scores a Hat Trick in Consistently Horrible Service

This is a review of my horrible shopping experiences with Snapdeal.com since 2010. Snapdeal started as a deals website in 2010, when the concept was fairly new in India. Mydala.com had been there in 2009 but I got to know about these deals websites in 2010 when I wanted to get inked (tattooed). Currently Snapdeal has evolved into an online shopping mall and the deals are there as well. Anyways, this is the history of my shopping with Snapdeal.com.

SNAPDEAL.COM SHOPPING EXPERIENCE 1: MOHIT TATTOOS

Click the picture for an Enlarged View
A tattoo deal came by in Sept 2010 for some Mohit Tattoos based in Gautam Nagar, South Delhi. I was to pay Rs 99 to Snapdeal and Rs 300 to Mohit Tattoos for a 3 Square inch Tattoo, which came to a tiny winy 1.5x2" tattoo. Since I wanted something bigger, Mohit Tattoos told me they charge Rs 750/sq inch for tattoo coverage area beyond the 3 Square Inch deal.

Oral B Essential Waxed Dental Floss Review

Oral B Essential Waxed Dental Floss Review

This is a review of mint flavored Oral B Essential Waxed Dental Floss. Oral B Essential Floss is mint flavored and comes in this cute, handy, hygienic and travel friendly round container.

You flip open the cap and pull out the desired length of the flossing thread. Bring the thread under the metallic clip and snap in the opposite direction to cut. The remaining thread end sits secure under the metal clip so you can pull it again for the next use. The closed packing keeps the floss hygienic.

Oral B essential waxed dental floss mint review

Oral B essential waxed dental floss review

Price: INR 85
Length: 50 meters
Flavor: Mint
Type: Waxed, multifilament floss
Made in Ireland
Availability: Available offline in local pharmacies/ chemist shops. For some reason, it is currently out of stock on every online portal.

Oral B essential waxed dental floss
The pack contains 50 metres of wax coated flat thread. The thin flat shape of this floss and the wax help in sliding the floss easily into the tight space between the teeth, while the mint flavor leaves your mouth and gums feeling very refreshed. A floss easily reaches under the gumline, where your toothbrush cannot reach. So while brushing twice a day is great, if you develop a habit of flossing your teeth daily or 3-4 times a week, you can keep many serious tooth and gum diseases at bay.

Oral B essential waxed floss is a multifilament floss, meaning, the floss thread is made up of many thin strands/filaments of nylon loosely weaved together. When you look at it, you can see only one shiny white thread, but when you use it, you can feel the multiple strands as they flatten and loosen up while cleaning in between very tight teeth without any friction.

Oral B essential waxed dental floss

In spite of being a multifilament floss, the flossing thread never tore, shredded or stuck in between my teeth. It is very gentle and never cut the skin on my gums. It makes my life easy. Even when I feel my mouth is totally clean after brushing, this floss always surprises me when it pulls out very minute food particles out of my nicely brushed teeth.

My front teeth are loose while the teeth on the sides are very tightly packed. Toothpick and toothbrush cannot clean the food particles stuck there. Oral B essential floss easily cleans in between those very tight teeth.

Initially, the mint flavor felt very strong and used to feel like a sting when the floss would touch my gumline. But within a few uses, I could actually appreciate the nice minty flavor and fresh feeling that spreads in my mouth after flossing with Oral b essential flavored floss.

The packing is very cute, lightweight and travel friendly, and the shape is ideal to hold without slipping out of the hand. I always carry it around in my purse.

Oral B essential floss is great value for money and can save you expensive dentist visits. It is also very good for people who eat a lot of non-veg, which gets stuck in their teeth. Poking toothpick in between your teeth not only increases the gap between your teeth, but also looks very bad to look at. While carrying this little tool with you when dining out, you can easily slip to the washroom after the meal and return with a fresh clean smiling set of teeth in a couple of minutes.

Flossing is a great habit to develop. Guys, girls really go gaga over a guy who flosses. Such minute things matter a lot to girls :) and Girls, it is a great personal care habit for you too.

If you have never flossed your teeth, you are missing out on a great blissful feeling of a very clean mouth. Trust me, try it once and you will feel the difference.

Buyincoins.com Travel Perfume Atomizer Review

Buyincoins.com Travel Perfume Atomizer Review

Today I am going to review the perfume atomizer spray bottle I had bought from buyincoins.com. You can see my haul HERE.

I first got to know about atomizers from Urbantouch.com around 1.5 years ago. It was offering a Basicare atomizer for INR 350 at that time, which sounded a bit pricey. But when I had tried to place an order, my transaction did not go through. So this was always on my wishlist. When I recently found affordable atomizers at buyincoins.com, I squealed with joy.

I bought this perfume atomizer for $1.74 minus 5% discount. Which comes to around INR 92, at a conversion rate of INR 56 per US$ (because Paypal charges you a little higher than market rate). I just noticed buyincoins.com keeps changing prices and this one is now available for $1.53 minus 5% discount if you use 'Gaganpreet' as recommender code while signing up. You can buy this particular model HERE. For other designs, just search for 'atomizer' in the buyincoins.com search box.

There are a few more variations of atomizers available at buyincoins.com. I liked this one. On taking it out of the bubble wrap, I could not pull the glass bottle out of the frame even after several tries and for a moment, my heart sank. Then I went back to buyincoins.com and checked the pictures. Then I retried slowly and it finally came out.

This bottle has a metallic frame. You need to pull out the inner glass bottle and unscrew the lid. The outer covering protects the delicate inner glass bottle from damage and also protects the perfume's quality by saving it from high temperature.

I found this atomizer as a multi-purpose versatile item. Here's how you can use it for different purposes:

PERFUME ATOMIZER BOTTLE DIFFERENT USES:
  1. You can use it for its primary purpose - to carry your favorite perfumes while travelling, without having to carry around bulky glass perfume bottles. I have explained below how to do that.
  2. It comes very handy for using perfume samples (samples come in small glass bottles without any spray nozzle) you may have received from some perfume store or during some promotion.
  3. You can transfer your cologne or aftershave to this atomizer bottle and spray it instead of dabbing it.
  4. It can also be used for ittars, which you can easily transfer to the bottle by pouring directly, and easier as compared to transferring perfumes.
  5. You can use this bottle for eye wash. I fill it with water and use it for washing my eyes. The spray from this atomizer is very gentle, it's a spritz. So after makeup removal, I fill it with filtered RO water and spray into my eyes. It thoroughly washes my eyes and any residual makeup comes out of the tear duct. It is a great thing to use in the summers, to refresh your eyes from heat. I found this as the best use for myself.
  6. You can fill it with your favorite facial mist or rose water and carry it around in your purse or pocket. Then whenever you need to refresh your face, simply spray the facial mist or rose water on your face for a beautiful refreshing experience.
  7. You can even spray cold water on your face, after returning home from a tiring day in dirt and pollution. This helps the water or mist reach deep within your skin and hydrates the skin immediately.
  8. You can also put your makeup remover or toner into this atomizer bottle to make use of the spray action and dispense the product easily onto a cotton ball or tissue.
HOW TO TRANSFER PERFUME TO AN ATOMIZER SPRAY BOTTLE?

You need to quickly spray the perfume into the atomizer glass bottle. My perfume bottle was bulky, so this part was a little difficult for me. I held both of them together near my lap so any perfume that sprays out goes on to my clothes. But actually if you hold properly, there is hardly any wastage.

PROS:
  1. Even though it was tricky to transfer perfume into it, there was almost zero product wastage while transferring. You just need to be careful, that's all.
  2. Available in different attractive colors and models.
  3. Very affordable.
  4. Makes a great and thoughtful gift for both men and women.
CONS:
  1. It is a little tricky to get the perfume into the atomizer. But once done, and a little practice, it makes for a great tool to carry your fragrances along.
  2. It emits a fine mist when you use water, but when spraying perfume, you need some practice for pressing out half a pump, else you will end up  with big blots of perfume on your dress and would use up a lot of your expensive perfume in one go. You can practice with a cheaper perfume first, if you are very unsure. I played around with water many times, before filling in perfume.
  3. Unless you really learn to press out very gently, it may not be suitable for ittars/attars, for which an extremely small amount is sufficient to give you a strong fragrance.
  4. It is not specified how much liquid can this model hold.
  5. You need to be quick while transfering perfume to the atomizer, else your perfume's fragrance and quality may degrade on long exposure to air.

Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour Natural Brown 4.00 Review

This is a review of Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour with Aloe Proteins. I tried this hair color in shade 4.00 Natural Brown, but the ingredient list for both Natural Brown 4.00 and Natural Black 1.00 shades is identical.

Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour Review Natural Brown
Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour Natural Brown 4.00
BRAND CLAIMS:
  • with Aloe Protein
  • No Ammonia
  • Long Lasting Color
  • Ultra Soft Deep Shine
  • 100% Grey Coverage
So far I have been using L'Oreal Excellence Creme Permanent Hair Color (Shade 4.0) for a long time now and have survived one really bad scalp allergy last year. One of the readers requested for a review of this Godrej hair color and I had never thought I would try it. It felt that at INR 30, there surely would be some compromise on the quality. How can they sell it so cheap when other brands are selling these hair colors at a very high price?

Recently I saw Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour in Shades Natural Brown 4.00 and Natural Black 1.00 at the shop near my house. I decided to go for the Natural Brown shade, as Black looks very unnatural and stark on my already black natural hair. I read the ingredient list and thought it would be mild, since it contains resorcinol.

Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour Natural Black 1.00
Last week I finally applied this hair color in shade Natural Brown 4.00.

THE PACKAGING:

Godrej Rich Creme Hair Colour pack contains two sachets: One Developer sachet and One creme colorant. There are no gloves, no conditioner, no applicator comb or brush and no fancy packing, which is why they are able to give it to you at such an affordable price of INR 30 only. Each pack is marked where to cut open. You just need to mix the two and apply.

Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour Review

MY EXPERIENCE WITH GODREJ EXPERT RICH CREME HAIR COLOUR

People who want to go for a full head and full hair-length coverage would need more than one pack of this hair color. For touch up and for application on just the head, or for short-haired people, one pack is sufficient.

Just like other no-ammonia brands, Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour also contains resorcinol. So there were no stingy fumes. It had a very very faint rose fragrance, which I liked. I touched up the small area with gray roots and was still left with a lot of mixture. I applied to some more areas on the head and within minutes, while I was still applying this hair color, I felt a high-heat sensation in my scalp.

I discarded the remaining 40% mixture in the bowl under running water and quickly wrapped up. At exact 30 minutes, I went for a hair wash. Normally I do not shampoo for at least 3 days after coloring my hair, but this time I shampooed with my Organic Surge Color Protect Shampoo and Conditioner in the hope to reduce the inflammation in my scalp. But my plight did not end here.

Once out of the shower, I started feeling nausea and giddiness. The heat sensation in my scalp aggravated further. It was not a burning sensation but as if very intense heat waves were coming out of my scalp. I tried lying down but the giddiness became worse. For 2 hours, my condition was really bad. After that the giddiness subsided slowly but the high-heat sensation in the scalp remained for more than 24 hours.

There was some hair fall on the day I colored my hair and it alarmed me. But after that my hair did not suffer any unnatural hair fall. My hair are very soft and silky. The Natural Brown shade came out a rusty golden color on my grays  and still does not look odd. The color also looks very natural on my remaining hair, not like the even coverage I get with L'Oreal Excellence Cream.

GODREJ RICH CREME HAIR COLOUR INGREDIENTS:
Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Colour Review

THE VERDICT:

On the packet, it says it is a Type 3 colorant (Permanent Hair Color), but from my experience, it is a Type 2 hair colorant (Demi-permanent hair color) because:
  1. It contains resorcinol and not ammonia
  2. It gave a more natural and uneven coverage which looks different from the way L'Oreal colors all my hair evenly
  3. I feel that my color won't stay long and will wash out within a month or so.
You can read the difference between Permanent, Demi-permanent, Semi-permanent and Temporary Hair Colors HERE.

I am never ever going to try any Godrej hair colour again. I had the same heated scalp experience with Radico Italiano hair color, which also contains resorcinol, though I did not experience such giddiness or nausea with Radico Italiano.

Even though my hair look soft, beautiful and more natural, I cannot forget the horrible experience I had right after coloring my hair with Godrej Rich Creme Hair Color. I felt very guilty as if I gave myself a good chemical treat. Even with Ammonia based hair colors, I have never had any giddiness or nausea. It is possible that my skin does not tolerate resorcinol.

The heated scalp sensation could be due to resorcinol, but I think the giddiness and nausea were most likely caused by a higher P-Phenylenediamine (PPD) content as compared to L'Oreal Excellence Creme. The PPD content in L'Oreal Excellence Creme ready to use mixture is not more than 0.5% but in Godrej Expert Rich Creme Hair Color, the PPD content is double than that, that is, not more than 1% in ready to use mixture. I have deleted the additional pictures of the Radico Italiano pack, so cannot confirm the PPD content in that.

If 1% PPD made my condition this bad, I wonder about Super Vasmol Kesh Kala which contains 4% PPD.

This experience has really caused an aversion in my heart towards chemical hair colors. Please know that what suits me may or may not suit you and what suits you may or may not suit me. We all have different bodies and different reactions to things. I am brought up in natural surroundings and my body does not like much chemicals, makeup or medicines. So my body's reaction to this hair color was quite strong.

You can try this hair color at your own risk and try only if you have used a resorcinol based hair color before with no such side effects. If you have any kind of skin problems on your scalp, please avoid chemical hair colors till your scalp gets healthy again.

If you have used any Godrej Hair Color, please share your views in the comments to help other users.

UPDATE: I have now switched to a chemical free hair coloring method which I have found with months of research and experiment. I am using this method since May 2013 and will be completing a year soon. For more details, you can check out THIS article.

Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil 120 Review

This is a review of Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil in shade 120. It comes in many shades, but shades are mentioned as numbers and not names.

Price: INR 250 (Increased from INR 160 to INR 200 to INR 250 now)
Quantity: Not mentioned anywhere
Shelf Life: 36 Months from mfg date. To be used within 36 months from first use or expiry date, whichever earlier.
Made in Italy

It is a bluish black Kajal that looks very close to black and the blue shows up only in bright light. It contains some micro glitters, which give this kajal a metallic finish. I did not know about the glitters until I clicked the pictures.

This Kajal pencil is very soft and creamy and glides easily. The micro shimmer particles cannot be felt on the skin. But is it worth buying? Read on.

This is how this shade looks in different lighting
BRAND CLAIMS:

A soft pencil that leaves ultra-deep colour.
Easy to blend in. Safe for use also inside the lashline.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH DEBORAH MILANO KAJAL PENCIL 120

I like lining my waterline but I am neither a fan of Kajals, nor of sharpenable eye pencils. I still use my retractable Chambor Waterproof eyeliner pencil on my waterline. This is first time I have tried a non-black Kajal.

The soft tip keeps breaking while sharpening, which is total product wastage and no value for money. Also, there is no way to get a  pointed tip.

Can you see wood particles on the pencil tip?
This is why I don't like sharpenable eye pencils
Or may be I need a better sharpener
The first time I applied Deborah Milano Kajal on my waterline, it stung my waterline really bad. There were some strong fumes that made my eyes water instantly and vision was blurred. It reminded me of Amway Artistry Black Eye Pencil, which behaved the same way and I had ultimately trashed that.

After first few tries, I disliked it and it kept lying for a few months until I retried it recently for this review. Here's my experience:
  1. After all these months in storage, the stinging has reduced considerably, but it still makes my eyes water and forces me to blink more frequently.
  2. After applying on waterline, it instantly blurs vision to some extent.
  3. I felt some dryness in my eyes and when I wiped a finger on the surface of my eyes, a layer came off on my fingertips.
  4. From waterline, it gets transferred to the entire surface of the eye and forms a layer there, which affects vision. Definitely a NO NO for contact lens wearers and company's claim of 'safe for using inside waterline' goes completely wrong here.
  5. Smudges within 10 minutes of application, without even touching and the weather is not even very hot yet.
  6. In 2 hours, it smudges down further towards the cheeks and settles into fine lines, giving you panda eyes like you get with traditional home made Kajal.
  7. Tried as an eyeliner, but it is not very pigmented and smudges there also while applying. You need several swipes for the color to show up nice.
Can you see the water in my eye?
The only way it worked for me is when I tightlined my lower lash line with it and wore it with a nude lipstick. It looked very pretty that way, even with the smudge.

I personally do not trust Italian cosmetic brands as I have a poor experience with them, including the Lord and Berry Mascara and the Radico Italiano Hair Color, besides this Kajal Pencil.

The shade is pretty though and I would like to try this color in some other good brand with better color stay.

DEBORAH MILANO KAJAL PENCIL 120 INGREDIENTS:

Complete ingredient list is given.

I studied the ingredients. Most of them are safe and do not get deeply absorbed into the skin except BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene), which is a known skin irritant and gets absorbed up to 13% into the skin. This could be the one causing the irritation. You can read more about BHT health impacts HERE. Then there is Ethylparaben too, but I am sure almost all cosmetics would have one or the other paraben as preservative.

I personally think this is not an impressive product unless you like really messy smudgy Kajal, besides the sting.

Pepsodent Expert Protection Toothpaste Review : Toothpaste Mouthwash and Floss in One

This is a review of Pepsodent Germi Check Expert Protection Toothpaste for all round oral health. It is an oral care system in a tube, inspired by the regime of Toothpaste, Mouthwash and Floss. This is the latest innovation from Pepsodent.

Quantity: 150 gms
Price: INR 90
Easily available at online stores and chemist shops.

I had to brush and floss my teeth after almost anything I ate, because the food particles used to get stuck in my teeth and gums, and it has been quite a pain. Brushing alone did not help. A dentist had introduced me to flossing some 8-9 years ago and I have been flossing since then.

Also, despite not eating much starchy food, I have at times noticed some plaque too. Plaque is that yellow film/coating that forms on the teeth and needs to be scraped away and everyone of us gets that. It is our body's natural defense wall against bacteria trying to get to the enamel. So when I saw the ad for this 3-in-1 toothpaste (Toothpaste+Mouthwash+Floss), I was tempted to try it.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH PEPSODENT EXPERT PROTECTION COMPLETE TOOTHPASTE:

Pepsodent Expert Protection Complete Toothpaste with the action of toothpaste, mouthwash and floss is a power pack of freshness that keeps your teeth clean the whole day.

Click to see enlarged view to read package description
FIRST IMPRESSION: On first use, I happened to apply the toothpaste to the entire length of the bristles and it felt very strong in the mouth. My mouth and teeth felt dry for a very long time and my teeth were squeaky clean for the entire day. They felt so clean I couldn't stop feeling them with my tongue again and again. There was a slight salty taste in my mouth the whole day.

From then on, I have been using a little more than a pea sized amount and with that amount, it feels gentle enough for everyday use.

I can feel the microparticles in my mouth but they are not very gritty. I think they dissolve in the mouth after some time, though I am not sure where do they go. The microparticles do clean the spaces in between the teeth, like floss. The toothpaste feels very cool like a mouthwash and when you gargle, the cooling sensation extends to the throat. So the product completely lives up to its claims.

What I like best about this toothpaste is the total oral care it provides me. It seems it has tightened my gums. As if by complete magic, the food NO LONGER GETS STUCK in my mouth. I rarely see any plaque now. I had bought a flossing thread along with this toothpaste, and that is still lying packed because this toothpaste has eliminated the need of a separate floss.

INGREDIENTS:

The pack says "For children under the age of six, use a pea sized amount under adult supervision." But personally I think this toothpaste is too strong to be used by kids, unless your dentist tells you to use it. Moreover, I have heard from more than one dentists that regular use of mouth wash causes tooth discoloration and if it contains the same ingredients as mouthwash, it may be harmful for kid's teeth.

Even I use it only in the morning and use regular pepsodent germi check at night. I rarely use this toothpaste twice a day. But it is up to you how you want to use it or what your dentist recommends.

OTHER VARIATIONS:

Pepsodent Expert Protection Toothpaste comes in 4 variations:

Two Variations for All-round oral health:

1. Pepsodent Expert Protection Complete (the one I am reviewing)

2. Pepsodent Expert Protection Whitening
And Two variations for Sensitive Teeth:

3. Pepsodent Expert Protection Pro-Sensitive Relief & Repair

4. Pepsodent Expert Protection Sensitive

It is a great product that does make oral care very easy and less time consuming by combining the action of a toothpaste, floss and mouthwash in one. Do try it, you will love it!

Epistick Facial Hair Remover Review

Today I am going to introduce you to this wonderful little facial hair removal tool called Epistick or Epicare. It is a Tweezer Stick in the form of a flexible spring, that pulls out facial hair.

Epistick Facial Hair Remover Review

Need to run for a meeting, spending late hours at the office and not getting time to groom, just lazy to visit a beauty parlor frequently just to get unwanted upper lip hair cleaned up.... this tool is your answer to all these problems.

It is a must have for every girl and can even be used by guys to remove unwanted hair near the cheek bone. A lot of boys have been writing to me to know how to remove unwanted facial hair on upper part of cheeks.

HOW TO USE EPISTICK FACIAL HAIR REMOVER?
Facial Hair Epicare Epilator Epistick Remover Stick
  1. Hold the ends of the epistick between the thumb and first two fingers in each hand.
  2. Bend the spring to roughly form a 'U' and hold it against the skin where you want to remove hair.
  3. Roll the ends of the stick outwards and the spring will start plucking the hair.
  4. You can stick your tongue under the skin just like you do when getting your upper lip threaded.
  5. For better results, I hold it a little above the ends.
How to use Epistick Facial Hair Remover
Epicare Epistick Facial Hair Remover
The only way I could click this picture was through my laptop's webcam. So excuse the poor quality
Even if you do not understand the instructions, you will be still be able to automatically use it correctly once it is in your hands, simply by instinct. Always use on clean skin.

It is important to use a mild toner on the skin after removing hair, to close the pores and to avoid skin infections. Do NOT use soap for 24 hrs. anyways it is not recommended to use soap on the face. Those who feel a lot of pain can also rub ice before and after hair removal.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH EPISTICK FACIAL HAIR REMOVAL TOOL

Buy Epicare Epistick Facial Hair Remover India
It effectively removes 99% of hair on the upper lip and 100% of the hair on the lower lip and on the contour of lips. Only the hair which are at an angle on both sides of the lips sometimes do not get pulled out from the roots. But after 2 days when they grow out of the skin, this tool easily plucks them out too.

The more you use it, the better you will get at handling it and better results with each use. I have not gotten threading done on the upper lip ever since i have bought this tool.

It is a facial hair removal tool and not just limited to removing unwanted hair around the lips. I personally do not find it safe to use near eyebrows or forehead as it may pluck your eyebrows or eyelashes or the hair on your head may get entangled into it. So it is completely up to you how and where on the face you can use it safely.

People who wax on the chin can also find it very useful though it requires some practice to use it on curved facial areas.

It is very handy, light weight and can be easily carried around in your purse all the time. You will need a mirror to be able to see and effectively catch all unwanted hair.

HOW OFTEN TO USE?

It is completely up to you. People who have slow hair growth can use on alternate days or every few days. I personally use it more frequently because everyday some hair growth comes out of the under skin. It hardly takes 2 minutes to remove fresh regrowth.

MAINTENANCE:

It is important to keep it clean and store it away from dust. After using, I gently stretch the spring and blow air through it to remove stuck hair. Then wipe with a clean tissue. Do not wash often or it may rust. On washing, lay it on a towel to soak all the water and air dry.

WHERE TO BUY?

A year ago, this epistick hair removal tool was available on ebay for more than INR 1000. I had bought it from ebay.in last year for INR 220 (Price INR 150 + Shipping INR 70). At that time buyincoins.com was selling a different version of this. I just discovered they are now selling this one too.

You can buy it from:
buyincoins.com for $0.98 (Crazily CHEAP!!! Around INR 50) See HERE
ebay.in buy HERE or HERE (different prices and costlier)

CAUTION:

Just like any hair removal method, this tool also carries the risk of hair root infections in very rare cases. It also depends on our pain threshold and thickness of hair. If you have never had your facial hair threaded or waxed before or if you have very fine hair, it may feel painful in the beginning. But it gives more satisfying results than threading or plucking manually with a tweezer.

Also, our sensitivity levels vary on different days. When we are sleep deprived or in a low mood, we feel more pain. Women particularly feel more sensitivity towards pain during periods. So on a practical note, it is better to use it when you are feeling normal or good and in front of a well lit mirror.

People who are prone to infections on waxing or hair removal, can rub the area with ice first to desensitize it and then remove hair. Else, you can apply aloe vera gel and let it absorb, and then use this.

I once happened to use it during high sensitivity days and ended up with a really bad infection which took a week to burst and then left a scar. The mark is still there and may take a few more months to go away. But I find it safer, faster and more convenient than threading. Totally recommend it!
